Weather today didn't help much and only brought my fix focal length lens so some of the shots were either too close to maneuver around or too far. Next time definitely bringing a zoom lens and tripod.

I'll start out with the carnivores.

Fishing cat (dark room, nocturnal animal display)

Forgot this pic. This eagle is actually very clean, the dark colors around it's head and tail area is the screen/fence between us.

Nice pics! Love the details on the Orchid pics! The "monkey" looks like a "Golden Lion" Tamarin.

BTW.....is it May already? :D

wow what type of camera and lense are you working with? that looks quite crisp!

Canon 20D with Sigma 150mm macro lens. All pix were taken without flash except the Fishing cat, turtle, toad, and crappie, use Canon speedlite 430EX flash.

Very nice shots man!!! The monkey is the golden lion tamarin, here is called "mico leão dourado" one the most endangered Brazilian species...

I was lucky to get that shot as the monkeys were behind a black mesh enclosure and quite active.

sweet pix man, love the color on that pigeon, and the turtle posed for the camera, so cute

Thanks

That pigeon shot would of been my favorite if I didn't miss part of it's feet:(. Not sure what kind of turtle it is but it was shown in the nocturnal animals section which I find kind of odd.

I was hoping to see some skunks but they didn't see any.
