Howdy folks. I have alluded to this in other frontosa discussion threads, and the time has come to initiate a thread for the group of gibberosa "moba's" I am getting soon 
I was in contact with the supplier yesterday following his return from an overseas trip. I have been patiently waiting, selling off fish I have, & building up cash to make my purchase. Until yesterday, the plan was to buy 2-3" fish so I could get the group size I wanted, and, TBH, I thought this was the only size available other than wild fish. Yesterday I was sent a video that revealed that I can actually get 4-5" F1's for $15 more per fish than the 2-3" ones. This is a no brainer to me, as my goal is to raise them to breeding size, and I would estimate the bigger fish to be prolly around 6-9 months older than the smaller. This size/age jump will still enable me to see them grow out to adulthood, but also put my goal of breeding them a little less distant into the future
I caught & delivered the bachelor group of 7 male Mdokas yesterday, and now have about 2 weeks to get my 10' 500gal tank ready for the cypho's. I'd really like to drain it & buff the front viewing panel, but I actually can't see that happening until maybe the spring/summer in 2026. I really love the big pieces of texas holey rock that I have, but I am considering removing it and hard scaping with some type of stone that has less sharp & jagged edges, since cyphos can spook easily & clumsily crash about the tank, potentially injuring themselves.
