I am a tad bit bored, and been wanting to do this for quite some time.

I have some extra powerheads that are not in use, and I am looking to modify them to produce extra flow.

Any with any experience in this regard to provide some tips/suggestions.

this long thread is mainly where I am pulling my knowledge from.

Koralia 8
Seio 2600
Laguna Max flo 4200

will be my victims.

Laguna is nice as there is no piece at the end holding it.

cracked the ceramic shaft to the laguna. 6 Dumas 3004 arrived, though are too small for the Laguna, Koralia 8, & too large for the Seio 2600. It does fit the Polario, so I might see what results occur with this.

Laguna seems to be a 1/4 inch diameter - so I have ordered this : Graupner Carbon Filled Nylon Propeller 76 mm - 1/4

and Graupner Carbon Filled Nylon Propeller 63 mm - 3/16 : for the Koralia 8

For the ceramic shaft, it is secured between the magnet on the Laguna, so unsure I should take this out and replace with something else, glue/repair with the remaining ceramic shaft, or just purchase a new one and be more delicate when removing the prior "prop".

New props should arrive in 4 days, so hopefully this gives me enough time to fix the Laguna, so that juiced up prop can be attached.
