Lots of activity going on there; I'm not really a loach guy, but have always had an admiration for modestas. Very nice, clean-looking fish.

Are you at all concerned about your buttikoferi having an eventual meltdown? I think perhaps that hyperactive crowded environment might delay that day...but I also think that I can practically smell the fuse burning from here...

Yes, I am aware. I might consign them to another tank, or even another aquarist.

Most modesta in the LFSs have red tails, but the ones that come from my a certain canal system in the central region have the clear yellow tails, and I think grow even a bit bigger.
