Modified Aquaclear quick filter to fit a maxi jet.

Don't know if this qualifies for DIY or if it's been done before. I have a maxi-jet and I want to add a pre-filter. I really like the aquaclear quick filter attachment but I don't have a aquaclear powerhead. I bought one anyway with the idea to use my dremmel to adjust the hole so that it fits my maxi-jet. I made it a perfect fit and it's working flawlessly.....

Can you explain how you did this? I want to make it work with my marineland also..
I can also see that you added a suction cup on the filter? would be great if you share it, like to see how you did it.

Nice, pretty much a DIY sponge filter circulated by a powerhead.
