Hey Guys,
I just want your opinion on something....I have a custom made cabinet that I made for my 75 gallon that has the dimension of 50" x 20" and I want to get a 120 gallon tank 48" x 24" x 24", I was wonderin if I could use this stand, I will just have to get another 1" plywood that has the dimension of 50" x 25" to put on top of the cabinet so i could place the wider tank on the cabinet...would this work??? what do you guys think???? really need your opinions....thanks....

Can you add 2" to the cabinet length front and back so as to pick up the 4 corners of your new 25" piece. I think there is a chance that the corners only being supported by 1" and the additional weight of a 24" deep tank could cause conner twist.

I can't really add...If I do I have to disassemble the whole cabinet and build it from scratch again..that's why adding the plywood idea came to mind cause I'm avoiding doing a lot of work...LOL.....thanks for the opinion guys keep them coming....

I would be careful... if the support is not on all four corners you will not be supporting tank they way it is designed and it can cause seems in tank to pull apart as well...

thanks for the reply guys....I guess if most people says it's not 100% safe then I'm better off buying a stand with the other tank or making another one...
