has anyone ever modifited a glass tank before. I have dont this to get a larger footprint on smaller tanks, but never tried to do it on a large tank.
What I mean is if a tank is 82 long x 23 wide x 31 tall, Id like to make it a 82 long x 31 wide x 23 tall tank. In order to try this, Id have to close off the opening that is now the top, seal it and then cut what is now the side to have a opening in the middle to get into the tank.
Ive done this for 30 gallon tanks, but never tried it on suck a large tank.
any ideas or even if it can be done... I know Id have to seal the glass and support the corners more, but just worried about the water weight

tank below is the one Im thinking of trying this on... Of course the pipe would be comming out and the then the pre-drilled holes would be used for in-take and out-take for the two pumps what will be added to the tank for filtration

See Ive been told that tempered glass is not good glass to use in a tank.

but it doesnt have to be tempered rt?

Was thinking of making the tank stand a solid base top so that it will help with the pressure.
