So i jsut got antoehr 50 gallon tank for my larger dovii fry, my paretns wernt too happy saying they can smell all the water in the basement. My question is, is there a way to remove that moisture dampness smell? i ahve a 180, a 90, and now a 50, i do weekly water changes and monthly filter changes with carbon. Am i doing anything wrong? should i step up water changes?

First thing would be to make sure all of your tanks are covered tightly - that keeps evaporation to a minimum. Then you could lower the temperature as much as possible, but obviously still safe for the fish - this would also decrease evaporation.

If you really want to keep the moisture in the basement to a minimum then you need to figure out a way to replace or dehumidify the air. You could get a dehumidifier.

ye a dehumidifier would be a good idea, iv been leaving the windows open for a couple hours a day but it gets too cold
