Hi everyone,

My lfs just got in a bunch of WC moke's and weeksii's they're around 5-6". I was thinking of getting one of each for my tank but want to make sure that they'd be alright with the others I have right now.

Because of the size I'd have to start them in my 65g (3' by 2' wide) grow out with my 9" ornate, 2x 7" endlis. They aren't very agressive (the ones I own) but I do have a 6" and 7" severum in the tank as well as an 8" AFK and 5" butterfly. My current fish all get along well in the tank and was wondering if these 2 additions would work for the time being?

Or just get 1 (I really like the weeksii colouring more than the moke's), either way I'm worried since they're WC and used to eating live that I may have an issue with them going after my other fish.

Note: I am aware of the size both grow but these new poly's and my current are too small to be added to my 200G.

yo, where in canada and what store do they sell them! i live in Ontario and I want them bad! LOLS.

the outcome may be debatable. Although the ornate might get aggresive to new tank mates in a an already pretty smallISH tank. This is only a chance. Just get an divider ready or get ur polys very well fed and provide alot of hiding spots.

Thanks. I think the ornate should be fine. He's very docile compared to other ornates I've seen (p.s. lots of hiding spots in there). My real concern is if they will go after my fish like fish thinking they're food. We'll see I guess and if there's an issue I will pass them off to my friends tank or put it in one of the other tanks till I decide. I ended up getting them (they're in a quarantine tank since they're WC for a few weeks yet) . The 2 (moke/weeksii) get a long and are currently just cuddled together under a log. I will keep an eye out, thanks. The moke is about 5" and weeksii is 6"

i got a 18 inch wc pbb no issues took to tilapia and massivore the day it arrived from the airport. I have my 4 inch endlis with it you should check out my tank set up i wouldnt worry with it not to many things mess with bichirs as they are bottom dwellers.
