For those of you who use a python siphon for doing water changes, do you ever notice a black mold or mildew showing up on the inside of the tube over time. Can this possibly contaminate your water? I use a 25 foot python that connects right to the sink and I keep noticing more and more mold/mildew every week.

I don't know about Pythons but this happens on regular siphoning tubes. I use bleach to clean it.

I'd just leave it alone. No worries.

mine does too its a little scary looking but i dont care anyway cause i only siphon out with my python so water going into th tank never touches that hose
