Mold inside Stand - How to stop?

Not really sure where to post this so I'll put it here.

I have a Wet/Dry and Skimmer inside my stand that is almost enclosed (not open in rear. I'm having a real problem with mold underneath.

I'm kind of hesitant to even wipe it off with bleach or anti mold chemicals for fear that the fumes will get in my water and wipe out my 240g salt. CANT HAVE THAT!

Any ideas or suggestions?

I use small 5-15v fans to keep air circulating around my large W/D filters. (most are wired to the 15v outputs of light ballasts)

computer fans work great for this,
i went to a computer parts store and bought a small fan from them and wired it into a small 12v plugin transformer (off my old phone charger)
can hardly hear the thing and moves just enough air.

Here's a good place to get fans that will run right off of 120VAC in your outlets http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/category/220200/Fans/A.C.-Fans/1.html . They also sell switches and cords.

If it's enclosed enough you could try an ozone generator (Bathroom Ionic Breeze from WallyWorld).

Otherwise, get a big fan to ventilate the stand and wipe it down with your choice of cleaners and let it dry. (Cover sump with plastic wrap).

If it's black mold, be very careful you don't spred the spores and wear a hepa mask.

You can paint the interior with a mold inhibitor, but you should still run a circulation fan.

wipe it down with mild bleach solution to kill all mold spores.... then keep air moving... this is what i did joe after i got mold... worked perfect...
