I'm in need of some serious water changes and i noticed my water jug has these brown specs on it on the inside. Some times a little bit of water sits in the jug for a week. Now will this harm my fish or will i need to get another jug? I assuming mold.

Are these jugs replaceable like milk jugs? If it's something that you use all the time, I would add fill the jug and add some bleach. Let it sit until the brown specs go away. Then fill with fresh water and add a 2x the amount of water conditioner. Do this a couple of times to get out the bleach and then you're golden.
I mean add water conditoner to the jug after the bleach. Do this for a couple of days and it should be okay.
