My wife thinks I have a problem with my fish. I am just too obsessed with my fish, but my wife is a disney freak and my oldest daughter (who worships me :headbang2 ) has found her new favorite movie, finding nemo! All day thats all she wants to watch or talk about. She love going with me to the fish store and seeing all the fish. And LOVES to feed the fish with me. Funny enough I think that me feeding the feeders to my Nandus Nandus has warped her just a lil :nilly: when she sees the opening seen where Nemo's mom is eaten she gets all excited.

lol. You should compare your interest in fish to your wifes love for disney. And say she's also a freak for liking disney so much. Thats pretty funny about your oldest daughter. I was horrfied when nemo's mum got eaten =..(

I found it very disturbing the first time I saw it I couldn't believe they would put that in a kids movie! But after she sees all the "baby fish" get swallowed whole she laughs at the opening scene.

After seeing Nemo's mom go, I went to therapy....:naughty: Yeah, therapy as in feeding my p's fish fillets...The fillets represented the cuda who supposingly killed off the mother...

I feed my fish when my son's asleep. He will get a stool, grab the shrimps and hikari pellets
and scream every time the fish lunges for it. :chillpill:

Amongst all the pros of being this hobby, probably the clean factor stands out the most...It's water...This element is see through and most of time is smell less...There's no walking the dog and picking its crap up after its done...There's no dander problems with fish...And there's definatley no yelling of the crazy Macaw at night...The whole parental care that most fish exibit is a nice tool to show our kids about life...

I worry for him sometimes because he puts his hand over the tank longer than he has to.
The gars might take those yummy tender toddler hands.

I think its a good idea in getting our children to help with the feeds. I would just get him to pull back a bit quicker, I hope he doesn' t learn that fish have teeth the hard way!
