A strange thing happened today at my lfs. I was netting mollies (1 male, 3 females) to stock my daughter's tank. I chose the largest from the female mollies. When I was going to the cashier I looked into the bucket and noticed about 15 baby mollies swimming around. Did one of the females give birth from the stress from being caught? Also, can swordtails breed with mollies? Thanks, the Doctor.

P.S. All of the fry are doing well.

Chances are she dropped them just at the right time. There has been documentation of guppies and molly spawning together. But I wouldnt know about swords and mollies.

this is a little bit of a different situation but there was a spider in my moms shower once so she tried to kill it and after missing it was scared and gave birth to hundreds of babies:eek: The same thing happened a few weeks after too.

hope they didnt charge you for 19mollies lol, goodluck anyway

I actually thought they were going to charge me too, so I told them as soon as I got to the cashier and they didn't charge me for them. I was surprised because the employee (Elvis of Aqua Trader's) is a jerk. If you search on this and other forums, you can read about him and his company.

Eh, dont worry too much about over-posting. Like you have just done 4 times in a row. When I go to post something, it seems like it hasnt recognised my clicking but when in fact I've just clicked it again to make sure and it post's it twice.

What was said above about the spiders. I like it when people have spiders in them and then they burst outta the skin. AWESOME.
