hi
one of my mollies just had babies...i dont have another tank to put them in.what do i do? can i leave the fry in the tank..there are two other female mollies and a male molly..all the females are pregnant..there are rocks and fake plants in the tank...i crushed flakes and put in the tank as food for the fry...what should i do?

thank you

dividing the tank would be one of the better options, i think most would get eaten if you just leave them like that, it depends i guess..

If you have a bunch of places for them to hide, you will have a good rate of success. I keep a 20 gal of guppies and mollies ( for feeders )... started with about 5-6 of each, and now it's like 30-40 of each. Lots of rocks and plants. Crushed flake is great.

just too update: i have removed the fry from the tank and put it in my betta tank (obviously there is no betta fish in there).i was surprised to see so many fries were alive..i think my plant cover is good enough..i left 3 fries in the tank with the mollies to see if they survive or not..

The plantswould have been more than enough protection, you really didn't need to take them out

Most mollies if well fed don't go after their babies like guppies and swordtails do. If you go to any pet shop tank and look in the molly tanks the babies generally just swim unnoticed by the adults.
