Mom, Dad & eggs!!!

My oscars just laid their second batch of eggs. They ate the first ones. I am hoping they won't eat this batch. I think they are fertilized????

i've heard that if you see two little black dots in the egg they have been fertilized and the two black dots are the eyes of the fry.

Well, darn it! As you can see, from the previous pics and now these, these eggs aren't gonna make it either. Drat! After x-mas I guess I will have to get another tank, and seperate them. Then if they don't hatch, I guess I will know for sure that I just have two females. LOL. Darn the bad luck anyway!

you can sex your oscars by using the vent method its not 100% accurate but it works well. if the vents under the fish look like this Oo then its a female if the vents under the fish look like this oo then its a male. so if one hole is bigger than the other than its a female if the two hole are the same then its a male.
