Mommy won't leave empty nest!!! & Serious PMS

I have 6 red bellies in a 45 gal tank (upgrading to 75 in a few weeks). My female laid eggs about 1 week ago.... some hatched but altogether it was a failure and I couldn't capture fry before they disappeared.

Now she won't leave the non existent nest!!! She keeps circling it and still keeps attacking everyone that comes near it! She's not even skittish of my hand or net when i move **** in the tank....

I've moved things around a bit and even put a fat piece of drift wood over her spot but now she just swims around it....

When will this stop?? or how do i stop it???

breeding behavior is pretty crazy, that's why losing fish during a spawn is pretty common... once her hormones settle down a bit, things should go back to normal, although it's a possibility that she will want to spawn again right away.

she miss her babies.
do you have gravels? if you do some small fry could be in the gravel. if so, keep a close eye when you vacuum your gravels
