im going to go out and buy my silver arow, 2 bichirs and 2 ck's what should i look for on the fish to ensure it has nothing wrong with it? and is it ok if i just have a sand bottom nothing else in the tank? i prefer to have nothing in the tank for people to be able to see them but i heard knife fish and bichirs like to hide alot :(

:( i dident want my fish to spend the whole time hiding like bichirs do thats why i was gona leave it open :( argh... now i think i wana get diff fish :(

the bichir will come out but it just wont feel safe without a palce to retire too, and the knifes might just pine away and die without a home

well.. thanks for telling me now i gota think of something else to put in the tank egh!!!!!

has anyone done a shoaling tank?? like all silver dollars or silvers with bala sharks or something of that nature? im so confused now :(!!!

Sand is good for a bottom...speaking of sand, if it is an above ground pool with a vinyl liner...you need to make sure there is nothing under it that could tear the liner. I have heard of roots growing through. It is wise to kill the grass underneith and then add a layer of play sand.

I have an account at a swimming pool wholesaler here. If you need fittings, plumbing, filters, etc. just send me a private message. What part of Orlando are you from? I am in Longwood.

I have senegal bichirs and they don't really care to hide. My knives would hide 24/7 if they had a place to go. I keep them in a bare tank with a sand bottom. Sometimes they seem sociable, other times they are very timid and group tightly in a corner.

A cool schooling fish is tinfoil barbs, as well as pacus. Pacus (look alot like piranhas) have a very fast growth rate and would make a great pond fish.

A new member here has a bass and gar fishing hole. He is out in Melbourne which is 70 miles away.

By the way, I have a pump/filterfor a small above ground pool. It was unused when I got it from Goodwill. I paid either four dollars or six dollars for it. It just won't do what I want it to. It is yours for the asking.
