:clap just want to say thanks for sharing the lessons learned. I started my first salt water reef tank about a year and a half ago.
150 oceanic reef ready with 20 gallon refugium and seperate sump,cherry wood
stand and top,pc lights,170 lbs live rock, 120 lbs live sand.
I will have my greatest accomplishment in April, my daughter be born.
After reading the story about 6 year olds and reef tanks dont mix, I hope that I wont be writing to tell about a boo boo, but if so :cry:
this is my fist post on this forum, not to be the last. :D
 
ohhhh, post up pics of the reef, im starting up a nano 20 gallon long :)

I'd love to see pics of that setup, what did you stock it with :)
 
The tank is stocked with:
banded coral shrimp ( the first critter in the tank)
cleaner shrimp
scarlet hermit crabs(3)
condylactis anemone
bubble tip anemone(split three months ago :woot: :clap )
gold band maroon clown(takes care of both bubble tips)
sand sifting star fish
yellow tangs(2)
sailfin tang
royal gramma
damsel( domino,zebra,blue yellow tail)
ocellaris clown fish(2)
gorgonian(yellow)
lobo brain coral
misc coral frags
tons micro life
