i use liquid tests at the moment, but it may change in the future.
its just more cost affective to buy the api mater test kit at the moment for me.

the strip tests would be ideal, fast and easy to use. i have no idea how accurate they are, some say more accurate then the liquid tests because they have a preset amount of chemical set into the paper strip. but when they first came out a few years ago i was told they were not very good so just kept with the liquid tests. plus the strip tests at my LFS dont have a ammonia test on the strip so ide have to buy that spearate anyway.

never had a digital test, looked into it before but they were quite expencive and you have to re callibrate them all the time, sounds like far to much hassle.

liquid tests are more accurate than the test strips. i only use the test strips for nitrites, since any nitrites would prompt me to test further. i have a master test kit to test for everything, but i only use that if needed

When/if I do test I use a liquid test kit. I don't test unless I
observe a behavioral change in my rays.

I worked in a detergent factory and we use digital pH meters all the time. I can tell you for a fact that even with the meters calibrated with a slope of 96% or better they all read different. For example, you can check the pH on one meter and get 7.4 and the next will read 7.8. The meters we use are around $600 and up. At home I use the liquid kits.

EPIC FAILURE!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE IS THE BACON OPTION ON THIS POLL DAVID?

i use what ever comes out of my tap... last i checked ( and that was along azz time ago) it was somewhere around 6-7 i could be wrong though

lol nic!
though i do agree to just use whatever comes out of the tap, i do test my PH
but dont test for my ray tank, but i do test for PH because i also keep saltwater tanks, (i use API liquid tesk kits)
I keep my saltwater tank at 8.4
the water out of my tap is 7.2ish so i assume thats what my ray tank is at all the time.

I keep a pinpoint ph monitor in the tank at all times and it fluctuates from about 7 to 7.3 depending on last water change and feedings

I don't check, never have. My PH is high though, like 8.0 minimum. The fish haven't complained though. :)
