Hey i have 6 mono Pb's in my 55 grow out and all of them seem to be ok but one. he ignored food for the first time ever and looks a little skinny, what he will do is take a bloodworm into his mouth then spit it out. He did the same thing with the Pellets i tried giving him. Its almost as if hes just trying the food and spitting them out. The Water perimeters are fine nothing bad is happening to the other fish only this little guy. Food is Frozen Hikari blood worms i thaw them out and put one pact in slowly at a time till i see them all eat in the tank. If anyone knows what could be the case plz help thank you. Right now i believe it could be internal parasites but he swims fine and is not getting picked on. I cant seem to figure this one out, im probably going to throw in some live guppies tomorrow to see if he will except that. cant get pics my camera is broken :(

First seperate him in a different tank ...Then offer only him feeder guppys if your others are taking pellets .See if you can get him eating again...how big are they is he... treating at a really small size sometimes can kill them .are your temps up above 85? if not get them there. also If that one is smallest could be showing signs of sickness first ....

Pbass that size are hard to grow out. Try guppies as a last resort, if he ignores those you may want to take him out and contain. I'd stop buying live feeders from where you are getting them because you seem to have had problems with your fish.

I have been feeding my pbass feeders forever and have never had a problem.

Hes only about 2-3 inches hes to small to eat normal rosies so i have to resort to guppies i know a new place i can get guppies and i can try them but the temps are about 80-81 and seems to be stable. The thing is he was eating the blood worms and would get a gut eating them like all the other ones. but i will try the guppies in the bigger tank see if you will shoot right after them but i was actually planning on switching them over to the bigger tank tomorrow thing is i need a new heater since the other one i had broke. just a question if he had Internal parasites would he not even try to eat and ignore the food? cause he wants to eat it but always spits the blood worms out. Also he is not the smallest he is actually one of the biggest in the tank

Bump up the temp 85F degrees add some salt for stress as soon as you get your new heater move the others and leave him for a couple weeks try to fatten him up..The temps help the bass with there imume system and overall health at that size so be sure to bump up your temp to 85 to 87 degrees but also with the elevated temps make sure you airate well for oxygen...compensate for the higher temps... Also just to be sure check your amonia levels again ..When high directly effects eating habbits...anything over 0 will start effecting them...

TY this info helped alot i looked at the temp and it was at about 79 degrees i think its due to having the window open in my room and being its chicago its a little cold out here lol. So i turned the heater up and now its above and at 85 and then i fed them some more blood worms just one little pouch and he did begin to eat a little more but still was picking and choosing the blood worms. i added salt and also thought of another reason do you think the a Eureka standard would affect them also, since he does chase them around out of his territory if so i can separate them and go from there Thank you very much

Glad to hear he is eating:DAnd yes being chased /bullied can effect eating habbits also ....keep that temp up there until those guys get 8 to 10 inches and still go 80 82!!!

Thanks well he ate just a little today got the guppies and he ate those like they were going out of style Lol. And looks good now he has a little belly now :), i think i will stick to feeding them bloodworms till he starts to eat them then if not ill just feed him guppies i bought right now about 4 dozen and took three dozen and put them in a separate tank so hopefully they will breed and ill have healthy fish for them to eat.
