Monoculus and Gars as tankmates?

Hi,

At the moment in my 40 gallon tank, I've got two 4" monoculus.
I'm planning soon to buy a 5" Spotted Gar as a tankmate.
I understand both species are relatively non-aggressive.

Will they all get along ok in the tank?
Will they grow at the same rate?

btw, I'll be ugrading to larger tanks as the need arises.

sorry.... no the pbass will grow faster.... but gars and pbass can go together fin. oh and a 40 gallon sis only going to last u about 2 or 3 months

yes... it will work the gars grow pretty fast too. I have 2 12",10"gars with my 3 6",8",10"monos. just remember that the pbass are more aggressive feeders and the gars are more docile, but they still eat like pigs
