Monodactylus kottelati?

I have heard of these "mythical" mono's but has anyone truly seen and correctly identified this fish before?

Yes, I've seen, swam with, caught and kept one before. They don't adapt well to captivity.

yes, we use to import them from time to time, also monodactylus falciformes, the big eye one.

real kottelati have a real high profile, with brigh orange fins, gorgeous fish!
