monos and food

hey guys i got 4 monos about 3-4 inches.wat should i be feeding them.they seem to like only feeders.tried pellets but they wont take it.wat should i be feeding them at this size?thanx guys

i would keep them on live till they are about 6-7" then try shrimp kill or pellets

oh really.is it safe to keep them on feeders for that long?im new to pbass

IMO breed your own feeders like guppies, white clouds ect.. but if you cant then just buy them from a good LFS and quaritine them

i fed mine live bloodworms until they were 4" then got them on market shrimp/krill.

my bass ate only pellets at that size. hikari. kept him growing super fast. then as he got older, i feed feeders occassionally. but primarily pellets

From what i hear you can feed them earthworms as well if you trust you local baitshop, or leaf worms considering their small yet...however i wouldn't collect the worms yourself seeing as they could have been in contact with pesticides
