I recently bought two 3" Mono's last week and have them started off in a 55 for now. Apparently the biggest one is very territorial and is very aggressive towards the other one and beat him up pretty bad, A few of his fins were torn off in the fighting and the larger one just keeps the smaller one in a corner and will chase the smaller one around the tank whenever the smaller one tries to swim around. What should I do about this?

You can divide them or seperate them into different tank's if possiable. Also you can alway's get some ditther fish to help the situation a little.
This is normal behaviour so this will happen from time to time. The larger Mono is setting his dominace over the other one.

Alright guys thanks for all the info, I'm gonna try To add some more and if I can't get more in enough time I'll add the smaller one to a 10g until I can buy some more.
