Monos in a 55?

Can I keep 6 monos in a 55gal or will they get too big?

They might be fine for a bit, depending on how large they are now... but yeah, 6 will definately out grow a 55gal.

Some can grow to almost a foot in height and several inches in length.
I do not, however, know their average growth speed - only the fact that they will outgrow that tank in the future.

OK thats what I thought. No monos for me, oh well.

My sebaes have grown pretty quick.

I got them at around 3" tall and a few months later they're right about 6" tall.

I think that you could do with a 90G for a small group of monos...Id go with 4 instead of 6. They are wonderful fish and if you keep em fat they will grow like weeds for sure
