Monos schooling

Hello Everyone! I was wondering if anyone has ever tried monos and silver dollars together and if they school with one another. I have a large 150 gallon tank with about 20 various different silver dollars and was thinking about mixing monos in there. thanks a lot Greg

Monos do best in increasing salinity to the point where they are basically in saltwater as adults, and so are not compatible with SDs

Its actually perhaps the opposite as Baby Mono Sebae cannot survive in freshwater infact they won't even hatch in freshwater....Also Monos Spawn in Freshwater....Therefore one could assume that they spawn in fresh eggs are washed into salt hatch and migrate back to fresh to spawn again....
