Monos still not taking frozen/pellets

I have 2 monos about 4-5" and i've been starving on and off trying to get them to take silversides and pellets but they just keep spitting it out. I finally had to just give in and get them some rosy reds but the larger mono hogged them down like nothing while the smaller had only 2 rosies. The main thing is im scared that i may starve them to death at this size/age by trying to get them on prepared foods. Will they be okay to starve for quite a while until they finally take silversides and/or shrimp at this size?

Thats odd that there not even hitting on Silverside, but try Freezed Dried Krill or Carnivore Sticks....Good luck
 
Hikari food sticks will do the trick..just got my promo of 4 months on it

I'll take that back, they have hit some silversides but spit them out. Or they will keep them in there mouth for about 10 seconds then just spit them out again
