These are my 2 babies. Hoping to have them in a larger tank soon. They are currently in a 60

I have 4 of my original 6 in my 450 and am growing out some more. The bigger the tank the mellower they are

I plan on getting more for the 350 and starting them in the 60 first. Wasn't sure if I could put the babies in with the older ones

What other type of fish have you had had them with?

Hey guys,

Is it rare to have a bala that' 10-11 inches? I know they CAN get big but I've never seen them that big. I have one that's prob 11 inches. Really cool fish remind me a lot of a carp. I feel like he belongs in a monster show tank...I got him for 20 dollars off Craigslist from a guy that lives 5 minutes up the road.

I've had about 6 over 10 inches in the last 28 years. I've seen one in a public aquarium over 15 inches.

Saw a 12"er at the LFS recently. I've seen plenty of big ones. Not rare, but cool nonetheless.

I have a co worker who has 2 14in Balas ive seen her measure them shes had them for 6 years in a 220 with 15 Africans she is trying to sell them
