Took this pic today at my local aquarium(St Andrews in Fife; most famous for golfing); it's a pretty crappy aquarium, but they do have a good selection of 'local' sea fish as well as the usual reef fish(they also have an 'Amazon' exhibit with Giant gourami ? And a cichlid tank with blood Parrots, Midas and C.Moori ? Pirhanas in with Cons ?; but this is a whole different thread
). Anyway this particular species is pretty common around here although not pretty;certainly impressive; the Conger Eel(Conger Oceanicus); gets up to 2.5m in TL and around 40Kg....
To give you some idea of the size of this secimen I stood next to it...I am 5' 10"
