I just dont like those fools on the boat acting like hotshots,

and plus something as impressive as the gar deserves some more respect than getting speared and then spasming by a bunch those manchilds

BTW those dudes on the boat reminded me of those "extreme" guys from Harold and Kumar.

yeah I know, I respect the guy for posting the nice catfish. However, I do not condone the wasting of these animals through bowfishing--to me, it is just another example of human destruction on the environment. I guess I just get frustrated at how ignorant some people are. We've already caused enough trouble to environment already with global warming(Dec 1 is tomorrow and today's weather is in the freaking 70s, and I live in the north east). Enough ranting but you get the point. These gars take years to grow and there are less and less clean rivers for them to grow up in with all the pollution these days. In the not so distant future I don't think we will have any more cool wildlife... all that will remain are carps and cockroaches and pigeons.. the rest will be found only in captivity. Example: The cool oddballs we keep like fly river turtles and black leopoldi stingrays used be to legal to capture and import to the US just a few years ago--now they are all illegal.

hey guys. i apologize for posting that vid of the gar. i wasn't trying to show the way they caught the gar but more of the great size of it. its an amazing creature that i respect. it won't let me edit the first post anymore but if i could i would delete that link. sorry again
