My wife got bit by her gar once...I've never gotten bit by anything of significance, just by cichlids when I used to keep big CA cichlids

my alpha male zaire blue bit me one when cleaning the tank he drew blood.

god yeah, arowana, gar, RTC, stingray, afew close calls with my wolffish and a stressed out blined piranha (no joke) and last week when my Armatus got sick and was dieing he niped me (9 almost 10inch) good thing it was on the side and not up by his fangs.

I can pet my flowerhorn but every so often when I'm cleaning the tank or whatever, he'll try and bite me.

We used to scoop piranhas out of trade in buckets with our hands because they would destroy the nets at the lfs I worked at. I must have done it to 50 fish or more over a couple of years before one got me. It felt like a pinch and when I looked down nothing was evident. Then the blood showed up and that little guy literally took a dime sized disk of flesh right off. Never saw it in the bucket so he must have swallowed it.
