Monster fish bites!!

Pacu mom, your baby looks like the walking dead. lol. I know what you mean about the tank lid though. I don't know what mine got a hold of but his upper jaw got so tore up I think either bone or tooth was trying to show through. It's healing though. Probably have a clef.

Yup, he definitely has a zombie look. I miss his cheerful grin. Can't grin without a lip :(

I have never even considered the possibility of being bitten by one of my pet fish.

My two 14+" Oscars will seriously aggressively and "fake bite" slam my hand/ arm during water changes. I can't imagine that the "bites" are with bad intention, as there has never been anything remotely like pain or blood drawn. I thought that Oscars had no teeth, but other posters say that they can bite hard and draw blood.

On a side note, I god nipped trying to remove a hook from a bluefish that I caught that swallowed the hook. Chompers of the Bay I tell you!

My 18'' pacu nibbled my elbow once, but like pacu mom said it felt more like she was just tasting it instead of actually biting down hard. She usually tries to get me to pet her while my arm is in the tank but I've always kept an eye on her mouth since then. My fh is super friendly too and only bit me once when there were eggs in the tank but I trained him as a fry to shake my hand with his fins for a snack lol. I've been tagged for real by my old jag and midas tho, along with a few hundred nips by convict pairs. My gf didn't believe that the midas would bite her so she opened the lid and he jumped 2'' out of the water to get her finger and actually drew blood :p

My jar did this the other day, jumped out of the tank and not me just after I dropped the food right in front of him. Not a bad bite.uploadfromtaptalk1371579754523.jpg

I got bit by my 26" silver aro on the outer side of my hand and it freaking sucked. It looked like a bunch of scrapes but because of the water I had blood dripping off my elbow.
