My worst and only fish bite just happened a couple of weeks ago from my 1-1/2' fimbriated moray eel. I was moving and in order to get the eel out, I had to remove the live rock first, well, taking out all that rock stirred up the sand quite a bit to the point where I couldn't see where the eel was anymore and, of course, I reached for a rock right next to the eel's head and she got me right in the finger! It wouldn't stop bleeding for about 10 min and a few days later I started getting a reaction from the bite. I'd much rather get bit by one of my snakes than from this guy ever again!

They bite the hand that feeds them!!

My worse bites have come from my RTG's and they draw blood everytime. I don't mind as it just goes to show that I am the hand that feeds them and sometimes they just get carried away. I don't hand feed them as much anymore as one of them latched on and it startled me and when I pulled my hand out fast the fish came out too and landed on the floor. LOL.

I have never even considered the possibility of being bitten by one of my pet fish.

My two 14+" Oscars will seriously aggressively and "fake bite" slam my hand/ arm during water changes. I can't imagine that the "bites" are with bad intention, as there has never been anything remotely like pain or blood drawn. I thought that Oscars had no teeth, but other posters say that they can bite hard and draw blood.

On a side note, I god nipped trying to remove a hook from a bluefish that I caught that swallowed the hook. Chompers of the Bay I tell you!

Here's a nip that my 10" Oscar gave me. You can clearly see teeth scrapes. ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1378124724.534818.jpg
