Monster fish chick!

Hello, everybody! My name's Salena, and after not doing aquariums for probably 15 years, I'm back in full swing. Blame my 5 year old for that. He lives, breathes and even eats!!! fish and things aquatic. 9 tanks currently running from 125 g's to 10, with cichlids in all but 3. Unlike many, room is not an issue for me as we live in a converted bank building. Monetary limitations and cichlid personalities and the realization of just how many tanks do I really want to clean actually? are the hold ups. That and all the other pets I'm responsible for....

Looking forward to being part of the community. Without people to talk to about the hobby end of tropical fishkeeping, I know I'd go . Thanks for being there and giving me the opportunity to join.

Well, I just lost 3 5" snooks, so that's one cichlid category down. (I'm still crying about that one). But! I got two established used tanks that included (separately) a 10" albino oscar and an 8" tiger. Threw em together in my new 120G and guess what? Got a pair!!! (Well, they LOOK like a pair after 5 days or so, tho' ya'll oscar experts say I might have a queer set of fish...) Lets see, guess this is the long version.... 500 Jewels (2 breeding pairs, both with fry, plus one non-mated oddball thrown in the oscar tank), 3 types of angels, a brand new (today!) Jack Dempsey, 5 convicts, an indeterminant African (now in the oscar tank, came with the tiger and seems to be a friend???). That's it for the big bad boys. Plus lots of catfish, plecos (one's 12" already!), goldfish, rasboras, gouramis, barbs and bettas. 3 different turtles, 2 red bellied toads, 2 cats, 1 dog, 3 chickens, 1 iguana.... AND TOO MUCH TIME ON MY HANDS!!! Yeah, right! Like that collection plus my 3 and 5 year olds give me any time left over. They must, else how could I be sitting here writing all this?
