Singapore
Hi all!

Being new to the forum and all! I come from Singapore and was just wondering whether which monster fish would be appropriate to keep in a 3' max length tank. Reason being that theres not much space around since i dun stay in a private housing!!

The reason for posting this qns in the bottom dweller portion is because i have taken an interest in the RTC, but know that they can get pretty darn huge! So any advise on keeping them if i really want to? Or totally just forget about them and go for some others? If so any suggestions!?

This is a new interest i've developed and would seriously not mind committing some time to it!

Thanks in advance :)

polys maybe?sens ain't getting that huge. maybe a max of 1 foot.

Sounds pretty cool ;) And what size tank would you guys rec? i tink a 4' tank is like the max for me! My house just does not have enough space! And just out of curiosity, do you guys play with your fishes with all those razor sharp teeth that they possess? Would love to be able to "friend" my fishes :)

I play with my Flowerhorn, Pacu, Oscars and koi(dangerousness). My giant Snakehead wouldn't play with me. Anyway, polypterus are amazing looking small monsters. They look like dinosaurs. :D

You could get a Spotted Raphael catfish, they are pretty cool looking and stay small. It would fit in your tank without any problem. I have one and it hides a fair bit but when it's feeding time he comes right out.

Just an image from Google, not my fish but looks the same.

- I also second the Polypterus suggestion.

Sounds pretty cool to me :) But i think poly's are not my interest! Will consider the other kind of cat fish but i tink RTC looks kinda cute when they r small :)

haha. A fellow singaporean. anyway, welcome to the sight. Yep, Bicher/polys are a good idea for now. Few monsters dont get large. For a 4 ft......if ur looking for somethingto keep alone, maybe u want to go for a Wolf fish?
