Nice and he still has the traits of a young fish, meaning he has giant genetics, so what did u do with him?
Not mine, it was caught on a rubber worm while bass fishing. His scale went to 50# and it pegged it. Threw it back in though.
With enough food he will probably grow 65 to 70 lbs, assuming he continues to escape the fryer. Since flatheads tend to stay in one area, u should fish this site again in a couple years and catch him again

Incredibly lucky to get a flattie off the surface on rubber worm, even more so a flattie of such size. Wow. I wonder if it was protecting the nest and not really preying...
