Monster from cuban

Very nice cuban gar, can't wait till mine are that big. I would watch out for that pleco in the last pic, it would be a shame to lose such a rare fish to a pleco sucking on it.

definitely agree about the pleco..watch out for slime sucking behavior!!

that plec is a Megalancistrus parananus...super badass monster.
I wun worry on the sucking of the slime though...but rather the mega chomping dwn on my cuban:ROFL:

not too familiar with plecos, but they are reputed to suck the slime off gars, and this is fatal to the latter, so i'd really be careful for both circumstances!
 
great looking specimen, congrats! i 2nd or 3rd or whatever the number is on the pleco comment - can randomly happen and only needs to do so once for it to be fatal. best advised to separate when you can--
