anyone around here ply the monster hunter games? If so what are your thoughts/ideas on the games.

I've played a few, wonderful art work! I really love the concept of the game and all but the grinding becomes such a pain and there is almost no plot which i personally think should be a very important part of any game. Love the art love the concept and absolutely love the monsters but sadly it gets a bit boring

There is already a thread on these games (i posted it). I played tri like no tomorrow for quite awhile. 750 hours into my main. Adore the games, adore the game play. Considering getting wii u version but its just an expanded tri with some features added, some removed (bowgun building my biggest complain)
Completely irrelivent to the topic at hand. Dark souls is also imo lesser than MH tri as well. Dark souls is also way under skyrim.
Monster hunter is the first game I got for PS2 and is the only one I've played. I fell inlove with that game when I got it and still am. I seriously wish they would make one for the PS3, can't stand playing handheld games or the wii but I know I'll probably break down and get the one for the wii u.
I did find one on eBay for PS3 but its in Japanese. Made me so mad..

I absolutely love them all. I don't think tri was as good as it could have been and I think it should have stayed on play station. I like the grinding it makes the game a challenge. I would like to see more of a free roam side of it and also if you had to track the monsters more.
It didnt stay on ps because of costs. I also think it was a good move to jump off ps and move to a system with a wider audience.
I remember someone mentioning that. I understand them doing that to make more money but they could of at least made one for ps3..

yes but they compromised on on the quality of the game. It wasn't as good as it could have been. It was moved to a system with a bigger audience but it wasn't the audience of people who would play that sort of game.
