Monster lapradei and ornate

Here is my monster Nigerian lap. My favorite of all my bichirs. I wanted to fatten it up a bit but it eat less.

24"+ probably max size already.

21" ornate. She's my biggest ornate and my first ever ornate bichir. Got her at 9" in 2005.

Compare the size of a 14.5" beutt and a 13.5"" del at the background

If you want your bichirs to get big and pass the 20" mark. Don't make it fat as just make lean and sexy. Most of my bichirs that became obese didn't grew much length only girth and they only stayed at 18-19 inches mark and most of my lean bichirs grew rapidly and passing the 20" mark.

I have 2 female Nigerian laps that eats a lot at 19". They are very fat like endli fat. I'll post pics of those two when I get back home.

my 13" male rarely eats yet he still gets longer haha

my koliba on the other hand loves to eat and is wide as **** haha

Yes koliba eats a lot for a lapradei variant. They are by far the most active lower jaw species IMO.
