need to get rid of a 2 foot plus African Lungfish (Protopterus annectens)
Note: This is not my specimen, but very similar.
He is in a large-fish community tank and gets along well, except he likes to dig a lot, and my tank is planted, and he's destroying my plants.
He is nearly full grown and eats pellets(floating or sinking), shrimp, and most anything else.
These are one of the most primitive fishes and are the fish most closely related to land animals.
They breathe air from the surface through 2 lungs, have many of the same bones and internal structure as Amphibians, Reptiles, and Mammals.
Fossils of almost identical lungfish have been found from 200 million years ago, before the dinosaurs walked the earth.
Pick-up only in Durham, NH, or I can meet in the Andover, MA area.
It's a beautiful specimen fish and a delight to watch.
Oh yes. I'm asking $25. I bought him for $75, but want to sell him fast before my plants are dead.
