You do understand that the large gobies in the pictures are not from aquariums? From your insightful post I cannot tell if you do. For most the fishing rod would have been a dead giveaway

Seeing that marble gobies are not close to the largest fish kept in aquaria, you must have quite the list or interest in others members......

Yea with the right care they can get big but it is easy to stunt their growth.
