It's float tubing... when you don't have a place in a port (very difficult or unaffordable in Switzerland, with waiting list for sometimes decades) you just choose to take something more reactive and without any problem for storage (simply uninflate). 12 kg, you wear it like a Camel Back or a Hiking bag, and you're free to fish wherever you want.
Here's a video of a Léman Lake competition :
It's very confortable in summer, but you can use it in winter too. The only limit is your endurance and how long you can use your legs as motor. OK, and sometimes, the speed of the storm arriving on you, too...
Most of the Swiss lakes are suitable for this kind of fishing. Most of the ponds are not... or simply forbidden.
Mine is a Sparrow Expedition 180, cause I'm quite fat and heavy and I had to take an upper range product (900 $), to carry my 115 kgs + material. But you can find some at low range for around 200 $. This image shows a French guy with an electric motor. In Switzerland, it's forbidden (not big enough to register it by the navigation authorities, so they can't take a tax on it, so it's forbidden to set up a motor on it)
