nothing to do with fishhobbying, but with monsters...

Last Thursday, I was on my float tube on Lake Léman (Switzerland), for the last days of Pike Fishing before end of April (protection time for spawn)

and look who came to say hello :

MONSTER !!! my biggest fish EVER !

4 feet ! 125 cm !

Wow is right! What a great catch! I am not familiar with this kind of fishing while floating or whatever this is, especially in a freezing cold water and with fins. How or what exactly are you doing?

It's float tubing... when you don't have a place in a port (very difficult or unaffordable in Switzerland, with waiting list for sometimes decades) you just choose to take something more reactive and without any problem for storage (simply uninflate). 12 kg, you wear it like a Camel Back or a Hiking bag, and you're free to fish wherever you want.

Here's a video of a Léman Lake competition :

It's very confortable in summer, but you can use it in winter too. The only limit is your endurance and how long you can use your legs as motor. OK, and sometimes, the speed of the storm arriving on you, too...

Most of the Swiss lakes are suitable for this kind of fishing. Most of the ponds are not... or simply forbidden.

Mine is a Sparrow Expedition 180, cause I'm quite fat and heavy and I had to take an upper range product (900 $), to carry my 115 kgs + material. But you can find some at low range for around 200 $. This image shows a French guy with an electric motor. In Switzerland, it's forbidden (not big enough to register it by the navigation authorities, so they can't take a tax on it, so it's forbidden to set up a motor on it)

you're welcome... you don't have float tubes in Florida ? I guess you know better bass boats... much more adapted to your open waters...
