Monster or Mini-Monster

All other factors aside, would you prefer to buy your fish juvi sized or full blown monster sized?

Depends on the species.
If it's something that normally gets maximum size (or close to it) in captivity i'd probibly get it as a juvi

If it grows super slowly or doesn't get near it's potential usually, I'd prefer to just get an adult.

I used to be the instant full tank guy, but now I like watching the progression and growth and how what I feed changes them. I also think interaction between tankmates has a lot to do with being raised together.

i like watching them grow.

i really enjoy raising them to be monsters from juvi size, but after time you cant really throw a 8"aro in with a 12"oscar or a 18"ck for example. would be nice to have a grow-out tank but my house just isnt big enough at this time.

I like to get the fast growing young ones and watch them grow up myself.
