The...things on the side of it's head are the part that's really unusual. No other fish I know has those.
yeah, that's what throws me off... I've been searching all day and I did find a picture of what is labelled as an Ancistrus Plecostomus that has those things on the side. But it was a picture of a small one..
Lot of plecos have those this one is distressed that’s why they are spread out.
Usually they lay flat against their body.
My 2 cents is onacanthicus adonis a. hystrix is higher in its body have bent pectoralfins and has more pointed head compared to adonis wich is more rounded over its head and have straight pectoralfins and looks more slender
