We have been trying to get these in for awhil now with no luck... I think I am gonna try some small eyed rays from SA that get almost as big

I don't mean to cause offense, but I have a hard time understanding why you would want to get a ray that gets that large. Unless you truely have a large space it seems a bit irresponsible. In addition, the Paratrygons are extremely hard to get acclimated and doing well. Why not stick with a Potamotrygon.

Just my opinion...

i agree..

thats a amazingly large fish but i would have to agree. i would bet that 90% of fresh water stingrays are purchase with out the knowledge of proper care and housing or purchased with intent to get lager tank when needed, but never do. i am somewhat guilty of that even, but working on a solution quarters are tight for my rays , but just picked up a 300 gal. rubber maid.
thanks for the pic

Well, this is monsterfishkeepers. Gutted it's a dead ray... think how long it would take to get to such a monster.

that's a freshwater whipray I think. The whiprays are the only other batoids that have managed to establish themselves in freshwater besides typical stingrays. If only there was a freshwater skate, guitarfish, or electric ray :(
