Just bought this monster from Tropical Fish World for $60!! It measures 9.5-10" and I'm loving it..Just thought I'd share..Thanks Jim(owner) and Adrew(works there)!!!

Are you sure thats a royal? It's shaped like a royal, but i have never seen one solid black like that.

He is definitely a cool looking guy, but I'm not so sure he is a (normal) royal either. I'm not so good with all the plecos, but I'm sure someone here will have an idea of what he is. Maybe grab some shots when he is in the tank and less stressed out.

Its not a dull eye royal... Royal/ Common hybrid maybee. Thats what it looks like anyway. With the lines on the face and the large scales down the side.
Very nice but I hope you have your pooper scooper handy, you'll be using it a LOT. All they do is eat and poo.
He's pretty. Makes me miss mine. When my guy hit 7", he was making too much sawdust for my 75g to handle so I moved him on. Sort of kicking myself, but I'd just be in the same mess if I got another on for my 125g.
