You are wanting to do yellow bullhead right? You should look into native SA catfish...;). Try O. niger....ripsaw cats, or TSN..aka Tiger Shovel Nose....Red Tail Cat.....all of them are totally awesome fish....just a few more suggestions for your awesomely large tank! :D

Glad to hear they are still in business. I really enjoyed the people that work there. They weren't idiots like employees at many LFS.

Red Tail Cats are awesome but I'm afraid I'd have to have a Fish Fry when he got to 3 foot or so.
 
A little background if you didn't read my post in the Welcome Wagon area.

I am picking up a 6 month old 300 gallon 3/4" acrylic tank with custom oak stand and canopy tomorrow.

Pictured here at current owners house as a salt tank.

I am remodeling a house and here is the "human tank" in progress and the wall that it will sit.
Walls have since been painted but this is the most current pic I have.

My wife and I are huge Oscar fans so the main attraction will be a pair of Oscars. If they don't get along then one will go back to the LFS. I am currently researching other species to keep in this tank as well.

Looking forward to great discussions here.

Ignore the TSN and RTC suggestions, and get an ARO!:)
 
Nice tank, any plans with the stocking? I wouldn't get a RTC, but an aro or two with a 150 gallon sump would be nice.

BTW Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson are better.

No Aro's (sorry) and no catfish or any other fish for that matter that get over 18".

This tank was purchased specifically for a pair of Oscars (hopefully a pair) and other fist to be determined. :)
 
PS. I can handle Gordon but JJ can kiss my @ss. :D

Here it is at it's new home. I still need to get the hardwood floors refinished and do some bracing in the basement before it gets moved to it's pernanent location.
