Monster Tanks have been ordered!!!!!!!

Hi there..... After two tears of planning and finishing my basement
I finally ordered two acrylic tanks from "Tenecor"........
The footprints are;
Tank#1: 120inches long x 48inches wide x 30inches high (700gal)

Tank#2: 120inches long x 42inches wide x 30inches high (600gal)


I'm excited but also broke...LOL....
I am getting many holes drilled into them for two types of
filtration and automatic water changes.....
They will be here in 6 to 8 weeks...I'll keep you posted.......

I'm jealous. I wish I could pay the prices (overall) that you guys pay. Shipping to me in Hawaii just breaks the deal everywhere I look.

180g AGA in the mainland around $900.

Same tank from 1 of my lfs is $2500. and another is $1200. Will wait to see what pops up on craigslist in my area.

I was checking out Tenecor and GlassCages but the shipping is to much.

Have you priced out just the glass? If it's less then "$1200" or "$2500" MAYBE it would be cheaper to make one yourself! Just a thought....

I priced out the clear cast acrylic sheet and a single 4x8-1/2" sheet is $476. It would be cheaper if I build one unless I screw it up then that is 1K down the drain. Will hunt for used or go for the 1.2K AGA from my lfs. Everything is expensive here, ie: 1G Milk is $9.+
