I have decided that I am going to do a road trip to the states next summer after watching all of these killer monster tank deals that are offered.

So next july or august I am going to hop a plane down to california and rent a very large truck and do a massive tank purchasing trip. I thought it would be a good idea to do a thread about it.

So apart from a good time to meet fellow monster fish keepers :headbang2!!!!!

I will be looking for some things to put in the back of the truck that I am going to rent to do this.

I figure in 10 mths I should be able to track down some monsters to bring back with me.

i'll vouch for stan's tank, super nice....

:headbang2well texas aint that far from california I have 10 mths to plan this trip out:headbang2

I have been looking at the killer fish tank deals that you guys have down in the states and it is my mission to build a monster tank set up as a tourist attraction so if going stateside to do a road trip tank run is the way to go then its the way to go:naughty:

My buddy down here in SoCal is selling a glass tank which is 120"x48"X32" for dirt cheap...somewhere around $2K and it was never filled, is already pre-drilled, has prefilters, huge 300 gallon sump, water pumps, etc...

It's been taken apart already for easier moving, but the individual pieces are still heavier that sh@#%t...you'll need at least 4-6 guys for this job.

But it's not going to be available for more than a few months, so if you're really serious, get down here asap. You can pm me for some details.

I would not have posted the thread if I was not serious about it.

Only issue is that I wont be able to take the time from my restaurant till next summer. Yeh, some people may be wondering why I posted this this early but the earlier the better, never know what presents itself that can be put in stasis for a few months.

I just did a pick up on a 10 ft 300g that had never seen water, it waited for me to pick up for over 8 mths, was paid for and all. I also just cut the deal on the dudes fish business when I picked up the tank, so next spring I pick up a 8 ft 430g, 120 tanks and all the stuff to do the hatchery. So I thought I may as well put this thread up to see what comes out of the woodwork.

Also to put the lines out to see what comes about closer to trip time.

Hey, this tank is 800 gallons or so and he's in the process of moving out of the country, so it won't last long.

Again, pm me if you want to talk it over.
